Mission

The mission of SafePath Children's Advocacy Center, Inc. is to reduce the trauma of children and their families by facilitating a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach to intervention, investigation, prosecution, and treatment of alleged child sexual and severe physical abuse.

Purpose
SafePath's purpose is to stress the coordination of intervention, investigation, and treatment services by bringing together professionals and agencies as a multi-disciplinary team to create a child-friendly approach to alleged child sexual and severe physical abuse cases. The goal is to ensure that children are not further victimized by the very system designed to protect them. SafePath also supports a collaborative approach to community education and awareness in the prevention of child abuse through the Coalition of Child Abuse Prevention (CCAP the prevention arm of SafePath).

SafePath Children's Advocacy Center is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. SafePath provides services primarily to Cobb County including the cities of Marietta, Powder Springs, Austell, Kennesaw, Smyrna, and Acworth. Courtesy services are also provided worldwide via requests from law enforcement, child protective services, mental health and medical professionals, and prosecutors.

Services
Our greatest asset to the community is facilitating in breaking the cycle of abuse by providing a safe, child-friendly and centralized location for the following services:

Crisis Services:
Intervention, Assessment and Treatment
Forensic Services: Interviews and Evaluations
Mental Health Services: Evaluations, Examinations, Individual and Group Counseling
Medical Services: Family, Child and Court Services to assist with the investigative process
Judicial Services: Expert testimony in the courts
Case Tracking Serices: Collection and maintenance of appropriate data in a central location
Training Services: For Private, Public and Community Partners
Prevention Services: Education and Prevention provided to our Private, Public and Community Partners

Credentials
SafePath is a member of the Children's Advocacy Centers of Georgia and the National Children's Alliance. SafePath is a member of the Cobb County Abuse Protocol Committee. We are partners with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in teaching prevention and safety skills to children throughout Cobb County. The Coalition for Child Abuse Prevention is the prevention arm of SafePath Children's Advocacy Center, Inc.
